New at Relay Radio: Take Over the Air & Keep the Music Playing
Relay Radio just got better! Check out our new DJ Takeover feature and the upgraded player that keeps the music going while you browse the site.
We’ve been busy making Relay Radio a little more fun and a lot easier to use.
Two of our newest updates are all about giving you more ways to be part of the station — and making sure the music doesn’t have to stop while you’re hanging around the site.
You Can Take Over Relay Radio
Ever thought you could put together a better hour of music than the DJ?
Now you get the chance.
With DJ Takeover, listeners can put together their own playlist and submit it to Relay Radio for a future Friday or Saturday takeover.
Pick the songs you want to hear, tell us your preferred DJ, choose the night that works for you, and send it in. You can also include your chat nickname, leave us a few notes, and even record optional voice clips if you want to be part of the show yourself.
Your preferred DJ isn’t always guaranteed, but we’ll do our best to match things up and turn your playlist into a real Relay Radio show.
Whether your music taste is rock, country, pop, old school, new stuff, or a combination that makes absolutely no sense to anyone but you — that’s kind of the point.

A Better Way to Keep Listening
We’ve also made some big improvements to the Relay Radio player.
You can still use the full player on the homepage, but once you start listening, Relay Radio can now stay with you while you browse around the site.
Check out the DJ lineup. Read the news. Look through the schedule. Visit the Donate page. Explore the site.
The music keeps going.
On other pages you’ll also see a smaller player at the bottom of the screen, giving you quick access to Play, volume, song information and the full player without having to head back to the homepage.
And if you prefer the standalone player you’ve always used, Relay-Radio.com/player.php is still there too.
The goal is simple: fewer interruptions and more music.
