Relay Radio has added DJ Alerts, a new notification feature that lets you know when one of our DJs goes live.
Instead of checking the website throughout the day, you can allow Relay Radio to send a small notification directly to your phone, tablet, or computer whenever a live show begins.
What Are DJ Alerts?
DJ Alerts are simple browser notifications that appear when a Relay Radio DJ goes live.
The alert will tell you that a live DJ is now on the air. Clicking or tapping the notification will take you directly to the Relay Radio website, where you can start listening.
You do not need to keep the Relay Radio website open for alerts to work. Once notifications are enabled, your browser can receive them in the background.
What Are They For?
Our live DJs have different shows and schedules, and sometimes a DJ may go live outside their usual time.
DJ Alerts help you:
- Know when a live DJ takes over the station
- Catch more live shows
- Avoid having to repeatedly check the schedule
- Quickly open Relay Radio and start listening
The alerts are only intended for important live-DJ announcements—not constant messages or advertising.
How to Enable DJ Alerts
Visit:
Look for the option to enable DJ notifications and select it. Your browser will ask whether you want to allow notifications from Relay Radio.
Choose Allow.
Once permission is granted, you are all set. When a DJ goes live, an alert should appear on your device.
What Happens When You Tap the Alert?
Tapping or clicking the alert opens the main Relay Radio website:
From there, you can see who is live, start the player, and enjoy the show.
Not Receiving Alerts?
Make sure notifications are allowed for Relay Radio in your browser or device settings.
Some browsers may also limit notifications when battery-saving mode is active or when the browser has been completely closed for a long period. Notification support can vary slightly depending on your device and browser.
Enable DJ Alerts today and let Relay Radio tell you when it is time to tune in.
